How To Install Monoleaf Springs & Disc Brakes on a 1956 Ford

“The wallet friendly monoleaf front suspension can enhance the stance of your vehicle by lowering it 3 to 4½ inches, depending on the drop chosen.”
Wes Drelleshak from Classic Trucks Magazine walks through an entire Monoleaf and Disc Brake Conversion kit installation. Before he started the project, Wes gave OutOfRate a call to discuss his options with lowering the ’56 Ford project car. It was great speaking with Wes to help him get the job done! Give us a call if you’d like to experience the same customer service that he describes in the article.
“For this particular tech article, we made a call over to OutOfRate in Nashua, New Hampshire, where the helpful sales guys walked us through picking the correct parts. I explained to the salesman that the owner wanted to have a traditional looking pickup using monoleaf front suspension but with the added braking performance of disc brakes. He suggested that we use the 4½-inch drop monoleaf that moved the front axle forward 1 inch to center the wheel inside the fender. We also added the OutOfRate master disc brake kit that will help tie everything together on the stock front end.”
Thanks Wes!
